Dave and Rosie Kerr have served here in PNG for almost 3yrs, but when after they go home on their furlough, they won’t be returning to PNG :) We had a see you later party for them this past weekend. It is never easy to say goodbye to the friends that you make while serving, but we trust God’s plan for them and their lives and for those of us left behind.
Dave was a teacher at the Bible College who did a lot from IT things and teaching classes and helping out when the last missionary principal left. Rosie worked part time here at Kudjip as a doc, took care of their girls Anna and Grace, and helped do lots at the Bible College at other times. They will definitely be missed. We don’t know where they are going yet, but when we do they might need to prepare for visitors.
We enjoyed a hamburger BBQ and the fellowship of each other as we prayed for them as they go. Following the goodbye, the Kerrs wanted to borrow my Emmet Otter’s Jugband Christmas DVD. Instead of borrowing it, I invited them over (and the McCoys came too) to watch it and so we had a movie night with one of my Christmas Favorites. It was nice.
Dave, Rosie, Grace and Anna - we are going to miss you guys. We will be praying for you.
