Race for the Cure

Today 21 people, 2 dogs, and 1 unborn baby piled into our mission van to participate in a 5K run/walk for breast cancer. Scot Riggins mom passed away last year from breast cancer. Last year his whole family got together in Oklahoma and participated in the Race for the Cure. His family is doing it again this year, but since he is in PNG, he can't be there with them, so we did it here instead.
We all got up at were at the van at 6:15 ready to go. Andy drove us 5K from the circle and then we started our run/walk. We went early to avoid traffic and to beat the heat, and it seemed to work out. Jill who is 37wks pregnant was able to participate, we thought it might put her into labor, but not yet. Marsha stayed behind to watch the boys who were still sleeping. It was a good time of fellowship and fun in support of Scot, his family, and breast cancer.
