New Zealand take 3
One of the places that was recommended to go and see wasMilford Sound, which is in the Southwest corner of the island. It took us 3 days of traveling to get there, but it was well worth it. There isn't much there but the sound itself. A sound is an inlet of water, and this inlet was breathtaking. We took a cruise along the sound for almost 2 hours seeing the beauty around us. It was a little cold when you went outside the boat, especially when the wind was against us going back, but well worth it. We didn't see much wild life, only some sea lions on the rocks. There were 2 large waterfalls, the tallest was 161 meters, almost 3 times the size of Niagara Falls. There are lots of hikes and opportunities to kayak in the Sound. We didn't have time to do that, but if I get to go back, I would love to see more of this area.
