Tonight we had game night at the Kerrigans. We all had a lot of fun as we played pictionary, balance to get the bag, the coin game, dice game to 100 and settlers. The balancing game was quite entertaining. We started with the paper bag on the ground and we had to balance on one foot and pick it up with our mouths. If you missed you were out. After everyone went, some of the bag was cut off and we went again. We kept going and eliminating people until we had our final four - Susan, Scot, Jill and a volunteer. The Riggins family ended up in the finals, but Jill pulled it out for the ladies. It was quite entertaining as some of us fell into the bag. Ethan thought a cream pie in the bag would be a good surprise, but thankfully they didn't do that. Josiah kept trying and ended up hoping on his one leg for quite a while one time before he finally got it.
After that we broke up into groups as we enjoyed some dessert. I played Settlers of Catan with Josiah, Jessica, and Sam. Others played the coin game, and then the dice game where you try to get to 100 the quickest. All in all it was a night full of laughs. It was also a good distractor for me. I have been reminded today about the movie Apollo 13 where the family is waiting for those 3 minutes to see if they make it back after reentry. I am unable to communicate with my sister as she travels the globe with Joe and Luke to come and visit. I eagerly await the time that they get here, and until then will continue to pray for their safety and find things to keep me occupied.
