The Walkers
Ely and Kelsey Walker traveled across the Pacific to learn about being missionary doctors. They are both 2nd yr residents at a family practice residency program in Texas and are interested in rural and missionary medicine. From their first day here they have been looking for ways to help and learn whenever possible. They often work together or show each other interesting cases that they have, so the other one doesn't miss out. Having never been in a tropical country, they were amazed at our gardens - the bananas, pineapples, papaya, lemons, beans, peas, cabbages, strawberries, tomatoes, onions and more. They have also gotten involved in our social life here, participating in our harvest party and being worthy Settlers opponents. We will miss them when they go back to JPS, but hope our paths cross again.
