The surgery went great, but when he didn't wake up from anesthesia, we started to get concerned. We started praying and thinking of anything that could help us understand what was happening to this little one. The pieces didn't all fit together, but we gave him medicine for something called Malignant Hyperthermia and Praise God he started to wake up. After just a few days, he went home being back to normal. He showed up for followup sitting on his mom's shoulders. We never like to see anyone have a complication in surgery, but especially when it happens to a kid, but we are extremely relieved that he is well now and are working on getting more of the medicine we would need if we have another case of Malignant Hyperthermia. He didn't wake up
