Eunice - then and now

Eunice came to us with a very large tumor of her face. We didn't know initially what it was, but a biopsy told us she had rhabdomyosarcoma. Typically, it doesn't have a very good prognosis, and I had never treated it before, but Eunice doesn't seem to mind. She has responded very well to her chemotherapy. She use to wear a very large bandage on her face to hide her cancer, but now she just wears a little piece of tape and a hat to cover up her bald head. She is only 3, but doesn't cry anymore when I give her the chemo, and often smiles, even though she wouldn't for the picture. There is a plastic surgery team coming to Mt. Hagen the end of August, and we are praying that they will be able to help rebuild Eunice's nose for her so she no longer needs the piece of tape.
