It has become a tradition here, but this year it almost didn't happen. Becky willingly put a short service together and at 0631
we were enjoying celebrating the resurrection of our Savior. What a j
oy to serve a God who is not dead in a grave, but who is living today and lives inside those of us who believe. On Friday, we remembered His sacrifice, as Romans 5:8 tells us - "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Today, we remember our Risen Savior. Luke 24:5-8 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee; 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' Then they remembered his words.'"
We took time to praise God for all that He is and does - hears and answers prayer; has a plan for our lives; the Beginning and the End; the King of Kings and Lord of Lords; gave us the Word, provides us with eternal life; gives grace, mercy, patience and peace; has called us to himself; gives us the Holy Spirit; gives us family - both immediate and church; called us to this place to be a part of His work; the good Shepherd; Healer and so much more.
Happy Easter to each of you. He is Risen.
