This week we have had the pleasure of having some Australian students join us. They are suppose to be in Kompian, but due to some land disputes the hospital has been closed for a couple of weeks. They preceptor, Dr. David Mills, asked if we might give them some experience for a week while they reopen and get their numbers back up. So Ran, Natalie, and Tina have been with us. It is fun to have students, teach them new things, and show them interesting medical things they probably haven't seen before. I had them and Becky over for dinner last night, which was fun. Tina is a vegetarian, so what does the person who didn't eat vegetables until she came to PNG fix for a vegetarian? I went with spaghetti as I didn't know what else I could come up with. It was fun to talk and get to know them better. Tomorrow they head back to Kompian to learn from Dr. Mills, but hopefully we taught them a thing or two during their time here.
