Every patient who comes to the hospital has someone who looks after them while they stay. Someone who provides them with food, helps change their dressings, and if a kid changes them and plays with them. While walking on pediatric ward the other day, this is what I saw. I know at times parents will leave their young child with a "babysitter" who is 7 or 8, but this little guy couldn't have been more than 5.
