Pastor August is going to seminary in the Philippines and so we prayed for him and his family before they took off. Christina is a nurse, who I have had the opportunity to work with on our Delivery Ward. We have had a number of bad lacerations that we have sewn up together. Even at 1 in the morning, she was always cheerful and it made the work much more pleasant to do. Pastor August was the assistant pastor at our local church here, and then has been teaching at our College of Nursing, as they developed a certificate in lay ministry. Now they are off for further training in the Philippines and then seeing how God leads after that. Pray for them as they adjust to a new country, language, city, pray for them to make friends and to be a blessing to the many they will be around.
