38 years ago, Papua New Guinea became an independent country
and today is the day we celebrate that. The
station had competitions and games for all who live here with volleyball, basketball and games for the kids. The
College of Nursing also had a cultural show, and lots of
people were wearing the colors of the PNG flag.
Fireworks are going off outside as I write and people are yelling and celebrating. It is a good day for PNG and also 6 years since I first arrived in PNG, how times flies.
