Team building Time

This past weekend we took a little time to do some team building exercises as missionaries in the form of some low ropes elements.  Morgan is a trained low ropes leader and led us through our elements and the discussions.  We learned the value of teamwork, of being a team, of communication, of listening, of allowing others to lead, of valuing each person and their unique circumstances and more.  We got a little muddy, we shared a lot of laughs, there was some dancing that happened, but overall we all had a really good time.

As I looked around at all who were there, I couldn't help but be thankful for the team that God has allowed me to be a part of.  As a doctor, my time is mostly spent in the hospital with other medical folks (doctors and our nurses Gail, Esther and Staci), but our station wouldn't function without each missionary who is here.  We wouldn't have power without Earl and Jordan, we wouldn't have new houses or wouldn't have things in our houses fixed without Randy, Morgan, Adam and Tim.  We wouldn't have the ministry we do with our PNG pastors and church leaders without Jeff, Harmon, Cindy, Karla and Marsha.  Many people couldn't be here if it wasn't for our teachers Rachel, Rachel, Danielle, Cilla and Judy Kay.  We wouldn't be able to pay for anything if it wasn't for Joani.  We wouldn't have volunteers coming if it wasn't for Andy, Judy and Kathy's willingness to email with them, take them shopping, and host them.  We couldn't be here if it wasn't for Steph helping everyone get their visas and work permits.  We wouldn't know what was happening on station if it wasn't for Cathy keeping us updated.  We all have many gifts and each person adds so much to this station.

Romans 12:4-6 "For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.  We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us."
