Last weekend of fun

In my last weekend in PA with my family, we took a trip to Lancaster, PA.  We got to see and ride Thomas, see Jonah at the Sight n Sound theatre, go to Dutch Wonderland with Matt and Becky and play mini golf and visit with my aunt, uncle and cousin from Philly.  It was a pretty busy weekend, the kids were tired, but did well.

The amusement park was fun.  The boys haven't done too many rides before, so it was all a new experience, figuring out which rides they want to do and which they were scared of.  Megan and I's favorite ride is the tilt-a-whirl.  So when they had a tilt-a-turtle, Joe (who gets sick looking at these rides) told us to go.  We took Graham and Eli, while Becky was on another turtle with Luke.  Eli is 2, and as we were going, he quickly says, I no like this.  Megan puts her arm around him and tells him it will be ok, just as we go into a fast spin.  Eli starts crying and wanting to get off, which we can't really do.  He continues to cry and one time, we went so fast, his cry was stopped mid-way through as his breath was knocked out of him due to the spin.  Joe and Matt were glad they weren't on the ride, but could hear everything from where they were.  Graham decided he wanted to go on it again, but decided quickly after we started going, that he didn't like it as much as he thought and too wanted off.  Hoping they grow into it.

Jonah, at Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster, was a great show.  If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend it.  Luke and Graham also enjoyed seeing the story of Jonah come to life.
