Ground breaking for a new OT

This past week we started digging out the area that will be the home of our new second operating room.  We have one OR (or operating theatre as it is called here) which gets used all the time.  There are times when we really wish we had a second OT.

Emergencies come up when Jim is already doing surgery and a mom needs a Csection because the baby's heartbeat is dropping.  With the 2nd OT we will have the chance to do both at the same time.  Jim's son Ben Radcliffe, who is also a surgeon, will be coming in January 2015, with his family, to start a 2 year commitment to serve here through the Post-Residency Program and World Medical Mission.  With 2 surgeons here, the 2nd OT will be great so we will have the ability to do 2 surgeries at once.

Jordan, Adam and Ted (volunteer from Australia who has helped us with 2 other projects) are heading up this project along with our maintenance staff and other local workers.  Pray for the completion of the project in a timely and costly manner, for  staff that we need to make it work and for wisdom so that we use it well.
